The group has 42 members (41 females and 1 male) and is well integrated with young, middle-aged and elderly members. This makes it possible for inter-generational transfer of knowledge. One of the members has allocated a ¼-acre piece of land to the group’s activities, which also serves as the ideal site for their participation in the 1000 Gardens in Africa project. The garden site is currently planted with bananas, kale, pepper and some aloe vera. The group has been allocated another site at the chief’s office where they can broaden their activities. Apart from agricultural activities, the group has been taking care of vulnerable children. Currently they are supporting 45 children.
