Nagaadweyne is located in the central zone of the KM50 50 district, which includes the villages around the town of Merka. Farming is a common activity here and its products are sold in Mogadishu. The Shebelle river crosses the village and this allows the villagers to have water in all seasons, with the exception of some sporadic cases. The garden measures 13 jibaals (1 jibaal, a local measure, is a half-acre). The crops that are grown here include beans, lettuce, carrots, maize, sesame and some fruits like papaya, mango and bananas. The people involved in this garden include 17 men, 5 women and 9 youth who keep it in good health by enriching the soil with good cultural practices and organic manure.
