The Kisonga Dembe Family Garden is located in Ntenjeru sub-county, Mukono district. The garden was started in 2010 and covers 55.74 m2. It is cultivated by three males and five females from the same family. The main crops grown in the garden are tomatoes, eggplants, varieties of onion, bananas and other vegetables. In this garden pests are managed through natural pest control methods and animal waste and chicken residues are used as fertilizers.
Most of the produce is consumed by the family members and the surplus is sold to neighbors.
