Founded in 2013, Albohtori high school is situated in the rural municipality of Sidi Mohamed ben Rahal, 35 km from the city of Settat. 250 students are currently enrolled.
In March 2014 30 students members of the Environment Club created a garden on a wild ground partitioned into 3 units of 60 m2 each.
The garden is cultivated with aromatic and medical herbs, pumpkins, carrots, broad beans, onions, etc. A training session on composting techniques is scheduled.
The School Environment Club aims at organizing some community meals using the products of the garden. Students are also going to cultivate some parsley and coriander – the essential ingredients of Harira, the traditional Moroccan soup served to break the religious daily fast, in order to sell them during Ramadan.
