The garden was established in march 2012 by Peter Felix. Mr. Felix adopted the Slow Food philosophy of good, clean and fair food and began the garden with the aim of providing fresh vegetables to his family and eventually fresh vegetables to the area.
Crops planted include Amaranth, Black nightshade, pumpkin leaves, sweet potatoes leaves, cowpeas, Blackjack, onions, cherry tomatoes, and bananas.
Medicinal plants include Aloe vera, Neem, Moringa, and lemon grass. Garden produce is used for family consumption. He has distributed seeds and seedlings to 7 neighbors who have developed their own small household gardens. Fertilizer used is chicken manure and cow dung.
