MURE is composed by members of one thousand families who practise bio cultural diversity consevation and agro-ecology.
The garden covers approximately one thousand hectares of land in an area that is characterised by wetlands and natural woodlands. The wetlands provide the major source of water for watering crops and livestock. In the garden vegetables such rape, cabbage, onion, beans, tomatoes and and fruits such mangoes, guava, and peaches are grown following organic agriculture principles.
The project has also become an eco-tourist attraction site and visited by many foreigners.
