Buyoga A Community Garden was started in January 2014 in Buyoga A village, Kisekka sub-county, Lwego district. The garden is located on a 232-square-meter plot and is cultivated by three men and three women. The main crops grown are carrots, cassava, coffee, pumpkins, eggplants, red peppers, bananas and herbs. The produce is mainly used to supplement family diets for the members and any surplus is sold. Training sessions on pest management techniques will be organized.
Soil fertility management
Manure is used to improve the soil.
Ash is applied on the plants to kill pests.
Collected from the well about 3 kilometers from the garden.
