Environmental protection and food safety promotion are two of the five axes of the association. With a view to finding partners with facilities that fall into the criteria above, someone from the association went to a Slow Food presentation in Banfora. Afterwards, he reported his findings to the other members of the organisation. Having the same ideas as Slow Food International, the group strengthened its links to the movement to share what they learned with other communities in the area, with the overall aim of defending and sustaining “good, clean, correct” nutrition. A few of the association’s executive members oversee the garden. An orchard of fruit trees, and especially néré, around the perimeter is being looked into. Seeds are collected by a local family.
