Born in Bra in 1969, Paolo di Croce is Secretary-General of Slow Food within the Executive Committee – the highest governing body of the international association – and a Slow Food Foundation councilor.
A graduate in Environmental Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino engineering university, he began his journey with Slow Food in 1999 after professional experience as production manger of an Italian food company. He works on the Ark of Taste and Presidia projects, in particular, managing institutional relations and fundraising. From 2003-2007 he was Secretary-General of the Slow Food Foundation.
In 2004, he was nominated President of the Terra Madre Committee and coordinated the organization of the first edition of Terra Madre, the world meeting of food communities. From 2005 to 2014 he was General-Secretary of the Terra Madre Foundation, which organizes events and coordinates the global Terra Madre network.
