Come and visit the Biodiversity House!

The center is located the Granaio Lorenese of the agricultural Regional Alberese Farm (Grosseto) at the heart of Maremma Regional Park: a organic farm with more than 4,000 hectares of pine forests, woods, olive groves, pastures and the homeland of the Maremmana cattle (a Slow Food Presidium).

With a full schedule of events planned, the Biodiversity House gives a voice to local producers and is a forum for the exchange of experiences between different countries (from the Northern and Southern hemispheres). The center hosts conferences, seminars and presents Slow Food projects to preserve agricultural biodiversity ranging from the Presidia to the Thousand Gardens in Africa. It also offers the opportunity to sample the Presidia coffee produced by small communities in the mountains of Ethiopia and Guatemala, join Slow Food and to read and purchase the publications of Slow Food Editore.
