The origins of this variety are unknown, still Gallesio claims this cultivar comes from southern countries. It is medium-small in size, pyriform, with a smooth, light green skin sometimes tinged in red when exposed to sunlight. Its pulp is white, with a fine to medium-fine texture and partially estende coarseness; its taste is pleasantly sugary with a slightly tart aftertaste. Harvest takes place in the first decade of August; the fruit does not have good preservation qualities which make it last maximum 20 days of refrigerated storage. This variety is nowadays cultivated in Romagna region, in the province of Forlì Cesena.
