The Agostoni family established Icam in 1946.
Careful sourcing of primary ingredients, a direct rapport with producer communities and the constant development of new processing techniques have made the company an Italian chocolate institution. Icam also promotes development projects in the Dominican Republic, Uganda and Peru. The Aprocam cooperative in Peru, whose cacao Icam uses to make its Vanini line, is now a Terra Madre food community. Since 2014 the company has also supported the activities of the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity.
